Cannonballs Just So
Speak I to those of the final days:
Said Peter in his earthly day,
In prophecy your sons and your daughters speak
As said the prophet Joel how they would,
As now with your own ears you hear
And see with your own eyes,
And dark the sun will turn and to blood the moon
Before the great and awe-inspiring Day—
Meaning, if so you choose to hear,
You people of the final days,
(Confirm do I?)
One event done, a second to come
Someday soon—but whose soon?—shall I tell?—
Red the moon will turn
Or war the quiet governmental forces will ignite
Or raging the Son of Man will rage
Or what else
While dark the sun turns
Or silence the blazing governmental forces meet
Or going away cause I Myself to go
Or what happens
Before My glorious Day.
