Kingdom of a What and a Which and a Whiz

The doctor we fancied as one-of-us who bechanced from out-of-town warranted us churchgoers a delineation demarcating divergence in both connotation and denotation of the two Biblical terms “kingdom of God” and “kingdom of heaven.” He hired a hall at the Inn and crowded it with churchgoers who often clustered together to jeopard a guess as to the upshot of all that the churches left rough. We unlatched our Bibles to view scriptures galore hearkening and weighing the doctor’s descant, probing for prospect as we patiently sought to smoke out the polarity between two entities neither of which we kenned. The hour passed as promised. The minutes beyond would have thrilled had the hour ceded a sum. One point stood clear—triumphant!—namely, the doctor knew less than the vacuous audience.
