Yahweh the Inquisitor

Shall not the judge of all the earth do right?
Abraham to Yahweh

We prefer our proofs mathematical
With certainty of logic—
Yet there remain disputes resistant—
Demanding nuggets weighed—
In counterbalance—
Within the human mind—tabula not blank
In strife with massive learning.

Berkeley says—no substance—
All is God—Bible says—
Things made—Science
Says—Things seen with senses
Five—and instruments to aid.

Now some say Science says—
Nothing made—all is Natural—
Proof not mathematical—
But hungered from the Heart.

Made or not or nevermind—
For some—an Easy Choice—
Forsake the one—embrace the other—
For others—a Spiral in confusion.
Each seeks its Place—dispositionally—
However knowledge lies.

How can He say—“without Excuse”—
Inquest—made—on men—
He says Himself has shown His Face
In reflection of what he made—
Yet few would not away repair—
He says we had a choice
That judges—not unfair.
