Give It Up
Writers write.
Writers stew.
Writers spend much time in the land of frustration.
Yahweh watches.
Writers ask God to give it up—the answer.
God says you are not yet able to understand.
We say Jesus taught us to pester the judge till he gives it up.
God says, did he? O, yes, now I recall.
So, we say, tell us how we choose.
That again?
Asking, seeking, knocking, and pestering.
I’ll think about it.
We snort.
God smiles.
